Did NBC just totally destroy their late night programs with Conan and Jimmy Fallon?

I know--Fallon doesn't even register on my radar, and Conan is actually painful to watch, like an overbred dog marionette who does too much to get too little attention. Oh well, at least this is happening at the time in my life when I can really use the sleep. . . .
