87 in a 60 and i'm a minor help!!?

ok i'm 16 and i got pulled over by a state trooper. He gave me a situation for 87 in a 60. I have to go to court on friday the 14th. I just wanted to know if anyone knows what i'm looking at here. I've talked to a couple people and they've said i could lose my license any were from 3 months to until i'm 18 is that true? What kind of fine am i looking at as well thanks for any help at all.
