How did the Romanovs copy English mannerisms and hobbies from the English monarchies?

All I know is that the Romanovs were related to the British Royal family, Tsar Nicholas II's mother, Marie was the sister of George V's mother, Alexandra. Also, the Tsar's wife, Alexandra was the child of Queen Victoria's second daughter, Alice.
