Does this story make sense?

All the 'great works' are wired to electronic sensors that aren't where the guard can interfer with them. The Louvre is very careful with their great works. I don't know how he'd have replaced the original if he couldn't get it off the wall where it was bolted, out from behind the gl, and away from the trigger security sensors AND stop the cameras that are watching.
