How much does 2GB DDR 1 RAM could have cost me wayback in 2004?

If a person knows about the brand & model no. of motherboard he/she can easily search & find out about the type of ram it accepts. You're pc is not performing well due to 256mb ram which is very less. I guess that pc vendor who installed AGP card lied about upgrading ram. In 2004, 2gb ddr1 would have cost around Rs.3500-4500 (Indian Rupees).
